Leika Ikuma is an Orange County based artist with a focus in illustration. Growing up Japanese American was challenging for Leika at an early age, but as an adult, she has come to fully embrace her Japanese decent, and is thankful for the rigorous efforts her mother had put in to exposing her and her sister to their heritage and Japanese culture.

Leika’s work emulates the exposure and inspiration from the nostalgic memories of the Japanese countryside, food, and activities she loves. She discovered digital applications during the pandemic, and it quickly became her preferred medium. Leika has always wanted to convey a sense of welcoming and positive energy through her work. With style being an ever-changing part of personal creation, Leika’s work is said to be recognizable throughout her illustration journey and continues to change as she grows into her work.
